These are portraits we had artist Dawn Marie Mader do for Chris Hayslett & Dawn Hall (our daughter-in-law) and Chapen Hayslett & Pamela Palma Hayslett of their dogs Casey, Captain and Bubba Hayslett. As you can see, Dawn (Mader) does exquisite work. Anyone interested in contacting her can do so @themindfulmusellc@gmail.com or her Facebook page (Dawn Marie Mader or Pet Portraits by Dawn). Michelle and I wanted to thank you so much for the drawings of both Dexter and Oscar. Oscar was such a wonderful cat and you have perfectly captured his majesty and pride that he carried himself with. We just love your drawing. The drawing of Dexter is also wonderful but you did such a wonderful job that it’s a little tougher for us to view. We will cherish these drawings always and will carry them with us until our deaths. Thank you very much for sharing your talents with us.

HENRY - acrylic on canvas.
Henry was a commission for an eleven year old girl. Her father wanted have a portrait done of Henry so his daughter can keep his memory for years to come. He liked the impressionistic style and wanted the painting with loose brushstrokes, yet more realistic and not abstract.
The expression on Henry's face says it all. What an adorable dog!
